Call for Female Speakers from the BMC

Call for Female Speakers from the BMC

Published: 30/08/2017

Local area meetings are a forum where BMC members can discuss local and national issues and feedback opinion to the BMC Office. Area meetings also act as a forum for organising local events such as crag clean-ups and hill walking days.

The meetings generally take place for a couple of hours in the evening on a weekday, and also provide an opportunity for a social gathering; food is usually provided and many areas have regular guest speakers as part of the evening programme.

We’d like to collate a database of possible speakers for these meetings to share with chairs and secretary’s. In line with the BMC's diversity targets we are particularly keen improve the diversity of the audience at local areas.

A diverse range of speakers and topics discussed has been proven to achieve this.

If you would be interested in including your name on the database please complete the information below.

If you have a story to tell, or are interested in being on the speaker list, complete this form.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with Jo Rowbottom, BMC equity and partnerships officer, joanna@thebmc.co.uk.
