The E-Business & Innovation programme at Lancaster University is seeking industrial partners from OIA membership to host student consultancy projects during Summer 2010. Eligible topics range from e-commerce technology to business strategy.

Running from May to August, groups of MSc students work with companies on practical projects. The call for projects identifies the scope and type of areas, and this includes:

  • Web 2.O
  • social media
  • search engine strategy
  • eCommerce and e-tailing
  • internet and web strategy
  • internet marketing
  • mobile applications
  • web design and web usability
  • innovation strategy
  • business management

Project Management:

Projects focus on a concrete business or technology problems and are defined in collaboration between the host organisation, the EBIN team and business development staff. Each project is undertaken by a team of students (typically three students) and jointly supervised by a company representative and academics. Additional technical supervision may be provided by an InfoLab21 KBC technical officer. The only costs incurred are the students expenses (travel where necessary etc).

Project Time Frame:

• 19 February 2010: Outline project proposal submission date (or as close to this date as possible).
• 16 March 2010: Full project proposal submission date.
• 10 May 2010: Project start date.
• 6 August 2010: Project finish date.

The E-Business & Innovation Programme:
